Mercer County Sheriff offers Citizen Academy

MERCER COUNTY — Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey has announced that there will be a Citizen Academy beginning October 17, 2022, running through November 9, 2022. The academy gives Mercer County residents a chance to see how the sheriff’s office differs from other law enforcement agencies.

The academy is open to residents of Mercer County who are 21 years old or older. A background check is required. An application may be obtained from the sheriff’s office during regular hours or secured from the website www.mercercountysheriffohio.gov. Deadline for applications is September 12, 2022.

There have been 83 graduates of the academy since its inception in 2013.
