LIMA — Allen County Commissioners approved a renewal contract for the Allen County Department of Job and Family services Thursday morning with K & P Medical Transport.
“An extension of our net transportation where we do Medicaid transportation for people,” said Joe Patton, Executive Director. “We have not had a lot of success with taxi companies. We need this extension to continue to meet the needs of our people. It is going from $55,000 to $75,000.”
K & P Medical Transport transports individuals receiving services from the Allen County Department of Job and Family Services. This offers individuals with non-emergency transportation to appointments. Although services are limited it provides additional help to those in need.
