Celina Lake Festival

Friday through Sunday

‘Olympic Spirit’ will be this year’s Celina Lake Festival theme. The event features fireworks, rides, amphicars and more. Cover Band Performs Disney Songs

7:30 p.m. Friday

The Little Mermen, a Disney cover band, will perform beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 22 at Fountain Park, Van Wert. The band covers songs from the complete Disney canon, including “The Little Mermaid,” “The Lion King,” “Mary Poppins” and “Frozen.” This nationally touring group performs in full costume.

Christian Music Concert

7 p.m. Saturday

The Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will host Christian musician Ashton Crook for a live performance at the Ottawa Metro Park Amphitheater, 2632 Ada Road, Lima.

Model Railroad Show

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday

The 2022 Railroad Heritage Weekend Model Railroad Show & Swap, sponsored by the Van Wert County Historical Society, will include over 200 vendor tables and a food court. Admission is $6 for adults ($8 for two-day admission). Children 12 and under are free. For details, visit vwrrhw.com.

Gospel Praise Gathering

5 p.m. Sunday

TGMA Gospel Music presents ‘Gospel Praise Gathering’ group singing at Kenton Full Gospel, 129 N. Wayne St., Kenton. The event will feature One Voice, Wayne Suter, Owen Stapley, Ken Ziegler, Miss Amanda, Susan Wilman, Ed Ewing, Arnold Coy, Dee Runion, The Seekers and the Gospel Praise Gathering Choir.

Shannon Bohle covers entertainment at The Lima News.
