LIMA — The Allen County commissioners and the Allen Water District agreed Thursday morning to move forward with an amended board suggestion for the water district.
In an October meeting, the commissioners suggested a board of trustees comprised of eight individuals — four appointed by the commissioners and four by the Allen Water District.
Thursday morning, water district chair Dr. John Biery’s request to add an at-large member to the application was approved by the commissioners. Biery said the additional member would bring the total to an uneven number to prevent a tie vote and also allow for the addition of a municipal representative as needed.
