Parma man charged with murder in sister’s death

PARMA — A Parma man is facing charges in connection with the death of his sister who was found early Friday morning.

Mark Shankle is charged with aggravated murder in the death of his sister, Vicky Zabala, Parma police said in a news release.

Shankle, 55, was arrested in Buffalo by that city’s police department, investigators said.

Parma police named Shankle as a suspect in his sister’s murder not long after she was found in a house in the 2400 block of Torrington Avenue near State Road.

Authorities said Shankle was living with Zabala at the home at the time of her death.
