Delphos woman jailed after threatening neighbor with crossbow

DELPHOS — Police in Delphos arrested a woman earlier this week for allegedly threatening her neighbor with a crossbow.

According to police reports, officers were dispatched Monday to the 300 block of South Main Street in response to a report from a man who said he was being harassed by a woman. Upon their arrival, police met with the man, who said his neighbor had threatened him with a crossbow.

Officers spoke to the neighbor, 56-year-old Tammy Best, who admitted the allegations, police said. Best was arrested on a charge of aggravated menacing and was taken to the Allen County jail. She will appear in Lima Municipal Court to answer to the charge.
