Hancock County Sheriff releases no statement on Monday deaths

HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office has not released a statement regarding two deaths discovered on Monday.

“I am waiting on the toxicology report,” said Captain Roger Treece with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

One male and one female were found dead at a residence located at 23287 Township Road 56, Ada. This is just north of U.S. Route 30 between Ada and Bluffton. The home at the address where the two were found is owned by Steven E. Dotson, according to the Hancock County Auditor’s website.

The female has been identified as 18-year-old Marie R. Beach, formerly of Lima. Her obituary can be found on 2B.

The male had not been identified as of Wednesday.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, both bodies were taken to Lucas County for autopsies.

The deaths are currently under investigation.
