Road construction and maintenance projects

ALLEN COUNTY

Chip and Seal

The following locations will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for tarring and chipping of the roadway. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage:

State Route 501, entire route through Allen County

State Route 198, entire route through Allen County

Bridge deck replacements

Interstate 75, and also Bentley Road and Napoleon Road will be affected during bridge deck replacements on Napoleon Road over Interstate 75, Beaverdam, and Bentley Road over Interstate 75, Bluffton. The following are upcoming impacts related to the project:

Napoleon Road

Napoleon Road bridge over I-75 closed May 22 for approximately four months

Traffic detoured onto Sugar Creek Road, Swaney Road and Lincoln Highway (state Route 696) back to Napoleon Road.

The northbound exit ramp from Interstate 75 to Napoleon Road closed May 30 for four months.

Traffic detoured north on Interstate 75, east on Lincoln Highway (state Route 696), south on Swaney Road and west on Sugar Creek Road back to Napoleon Road; or west onto Lincoln Highway (state Route 696) back to S. West Street in Beaverdam.

The entrance ramp to Interstate 75 southbound from Napoleon Road will remain open.

Motorists traveling northbound on Interstate 75 wishing to access state Route 696 are advised to do so via exit 135 (state Route 696/U.S. 30) at Beaverdam. No access to state Route 696 from Interstate 75 northbound at the Napoleon Road exit will be available.

Bentley Road (exit 140)

Two bridges on Bentley Road at exit 140 (one over Interstate 75 and one over the railroad north of Interstate 75) will close June 5 for approximately four months.

Both the southbound entrance and exit ramps at Bentley Road will be closed, also beginning June 5 for four months.

Interstate 75 northbound traffic will be detoured to the state Route 103 (exit 142) interchange back to Bentley Road.

Interstate 75 southbound traffic is advised to access Bentley Road via the state Route 103 interchange (exit 142) and follow state Route 103 through Bluffton back to Bentley Road.

The northbound ramps at the interchange will remain open; however, no left turn onto Bentley Road from northbound Interstate 75 will be permitted

Interstate 75

Interstate 75 both northbound and southbound will be periodically reduced to one lane at times beneath both the Napoleon Road and Bentley Road bridge structures during certain operations related to construction.

Lane closures will occur sporadically and are expected to occur mostly during daytime hours but some nighttime closures may occur.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Interstate 75 reconstruction and widening

Culvert replacement

U.S. 224 just west of state Route 235, west of Findlay, is scheduled to close July 17 for approximately 30 days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 224, state Route 235, state Route 12 and state Route 65 back to U.S. 224. Work is being performed by BCC Ohio, New London.

Berming

State Route 235 from the Hardin County line to the Wood County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for placement of berm stone. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

Bridge repair

U.S. 68 southbound exit ramp to U.S. 68 southbound over Eagle Creek at state Route 15, south of Findlay, closed May 15 for approximately two months for bridge repair. Traffic detoured onto state Route 15 eastbound to the state Route 37 interchange to state Route 15 westbound back to U.S. 68. Work is being performed by Global Outdoor Solutions, Cleveland.

State Route 12/state Route 235 overlap between state Route 235 and township Road 57, west of Benton Ridge over Moffitt Ditch, closed April 17 for approximately 60 days for repair of a bridge deck. Traffic on state Route 12 detoured onto state Route 235, Interstate 75 northbound back to state Route 12. State Route 235 traffic detoured onto Interstate 75 northbound to state Route 12 back to state Route 235. Work is being performed by Global Outdoor Solutions, Cleveland.

City of Findlay

State Route 12 between Western Avenue and Glessner Street, Findlay, closed during daytime hours only from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day until early June for curb repair and replacement. The work is being administered by the city of Findlay.

HARDIN COUNTY

Bridge repair

State Route 31 between township Road 265 and state Route 273 was originally scheduled to close June 5 but will now close June 19 for 60 days for bridge repair at two locations: one over Panther Creek just south of township Road 206, the second over Wolf Creek north of township Road 265. Traffic detoured onto state Route 292 and state Route 273 back to state Route 31. Work is being performed by Crossroads Construction, Cambridge.

State Route 195 over Cottonwood Ditch, south of McGuffey, between the north and south jog of Cottonwood Road, will close June 5 for 60 days for bridge repair. Traffic detoured onto county Road 110, state Route 235 and state Route 309 back to state Route 195 Work is being performed by Crossroads Construction, Cambridge.

Drainage work

State Route 81 at township Road 55, east of Ada, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for drainage tile repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

PUTNAM COUNTY

Culvert replacement

State Route 65 between Road T-D and C-5, north of Leipsic, closed May 30 for approximately four days for a culvert replacement. Traffic detoured onto state Route 613, state Route 109 and state Route 18 back to state Route 65. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage.

Pavement repair

Pavement repair will take place at the following locations with traffic maintained through the work zone. Work is being performed by the ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage:

State Route 12 between state Route 115 and the Hancock County line

State Route 696 between the Allen County line and state Route 12

U.S. 224 between the Van Wert County line and the Hancock County line

VAN WERT COUNTY

Chip seal

U.S. 224 from U.S. 127 to the Putnam County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for removal of pavement reflectors in preparation for tarring and chipping of the roadway. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

Culvert replacement

State Route 637 closure between Feasby Wisener Road and Elm Sugar Grove Church Road has been delayed indefinitely due to flooding and will be rescheduled..

Pavement repair

U.S. 30 from just east of township Road 127 to just east of county Road 185 restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement and joint repair and drainage improvements. Work is being performed by Shelly Company, Findlay.
