Allen County Sheriff’s Office achieves standards

LIMA — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded certification for adopting and implementing state standards by the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board. This is part of the state’s efforts to strengthen community and police relations.

More than 300 agencies employing more than 18,000 officers are either certified or in the process of becoming certified by meeting standards for the use of force, including deadly force, and agency recruitment and hiring.
