ZANESFIELD — Mad River Mountain announced it had began firing up its snowmaking system late Wednesday.
It will continue throughout the week and there is chance for a full day of snow making on Saturday into Sunday. Mad River Mountain hopes to make a definitive opening day announcement as soon as possible, with an opportunity to be open by next weekend likely.
The grand opening party for the new lodge is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 30.
