Wednesday shooting

LIMA — Three men were arrested Wednesday evening in connection with a shooting earlier in the afternoon.

About 4:30 p.m., two men were seen fleeing in the 200 block of West Grand Avenue and at least one of the men fired several shots at another pedestrian, according to a police spokesman. No one was injured in the shooting.

Investigators quickly came up with the names of several suspects and executed a search warrant at 128 W. McKibben St., where three men were arrested and jailed on suspicion of felonious assault, a second-degree felony that carries a maximum sentence of eight years in prison.

The three men arrested were Jaiquavius Carter, 19, Trey Ackles, 20, and Seyoum Lawrence, 21.

No further information was available late Wednesday.
