LIMA — Lima Allen Council on Community Affairs can provide up to $6,000 in down payment assistance as part of its class for first-time homebuyers.
Anyone interested in purchasing a home who has not owned a home in the past three years and meets certain income requirements may qualify for down payment assistance. The next home ownership class will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. May 17 to 19 and May 24 to 26 at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 550 W. Elm St.
Income requirements vary depending on household sizes and whether applicants live in the city of Lima, Allen County, Auglaize County or Mercer County. Anyone interested in participating or learning about income requirements can contact Heather Hedrick at 419-227-0158, ext. 122.
