Potential Putnam County meth lab broken up

OTTAWA — Police raided a methamphetamine lab in the making Monday evening in Ottawa.

At 7:04 p.m., the Ottawa Police Department, along with deputies from the Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force, executed a search warrant at the Blanchard Park Apartments, 1265 N. Defiance St., after being alerted of a possible methamphetamine lab inside. After conducting a search, officers confiscated heroin paraphernalia and items that could be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

No arrests had been made and the case remained under investigation, according to Putnam County Sheriff Tim Meyer.
