Lima Police continue to investigate 2 shootings

LIMA — Police officials continued to investigate Wednesday two separate shootings from the day before.

The first shooting happened in the 600 block of Madison Avenue at 3:07 p.m. Officers were called to a nearby alley over a man who was shot, Lima Police Department officials reported.

Officers responding found 21-year-old Austin Conrad with a gunshot wound to his right leg. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, investigators reported.

The second shooting happened at 7:23 p.m. in the 100 block of South Pine Street outside. Officers responding found 51-year-old Jeffrey Roach, who was shot in the chest. Roach was taken to the hospital where he was being treated, officers reported.

Police officials could not be reached for additional comment Wednesday.
