LIMA — One person was hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday on Lima’s east side.
At 7:23 p.m. the Lima Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 block of South Pine Street. There they found Jeffrey Roach, 51, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest outside 145 S. Pine St.
Multiple units remained on the scene, taping off a portion of the street in front of the residence. He was taken to a local hospital, and his condition was unknown late Tuesday. A K-9 unit was also seen approaching the scene shortly after 8 p.m. No suspect was named and no arrests made late Tuesday.
Officers remained at the scene until 10 p.m. Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to contact Detective Andy Johnson at 419-221-5296.
