1 hospitalized Tuesday in I-75 crash near Findlay

FINDLAY — A three-vehicle crash injured a woman late Tuesday and closed down the southbound lane of Interstate 75 for two hours.

The crash happened on Interstate 75 in the southbound lanes just north of county Road 99 at 11:45 p.m. Mary Boes, 52, was driving south when she lost control on wet pavement and struck the concrete median wall, the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Boes then crossed the southbound lane and struck the guardrail causing her vehicle to travel back into the lanes, where she struck a tractor-trailer driven by Aaron Brunner, 36, of Grand Ledge, Michigan, the patrol reported.

Boes’ vehicle spun sideways and was struck a second time by a truck driven by Cody Vansparrentak, 36, of Otsego, Michigan, the patrol reported.

Boes was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two truck drivers were not injured, the patrol reported.

Boes was cited for failure to main reasonable control, the patrol reported.
