GLANDORF — A Glandorf octogenarian was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle traffic accident east of Glandorf on Road I-9.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call at 11:45 a.m. about a vehicle in the Blanchard River.
When emergency crews arrived they found the vehicle in the river and occupied by Thomas Knapke, 88, of Glandorf.
Knapke was taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by helicopter where he was pronounced dead upon his arrival.
The accident remained under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office late Tuesday.
