SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Police officials were looking for two men who broke into a house with guns overnight and robbed a woman.
The home invasion took place at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of South Dixie Highway, just less than a mile south of West Breese Road.
Two men wearing bandanas over their faces broke in through a window and demanded cash from the victim, Meredith James, 27, said Chief Mike Keith, of the Shawnee Township Police Department.
James was home with her 8-month-old boy. Neither were hurt, Keith said.
James gave the men cash she had on hand, and they left the home. Officers said they believe the men entered a vehicle a short distance away and drove off, Keith said.
Police officers had not made an arrest as of late Tuesday and asked the public to call 419-227-1115 if anyone knows anything about the crime.
