MCGUFFEY — Olivia Stolly, who had 21 points, became Lima Central Catholic’s second all-time girls scoring leader, passing Jill Downing’s total of 1,208, in the Thunderbirds’ 48-33 victory Saturday against Upper Scioto Valley. Stolly now has 1,211 for her career. Stolly’s sister Madison is the all-time girls scoring leader with 1,828. Bridget Mulcahy scored 14 for Lima Central Catholic (7-11). Kennedy Hall had 13 points and and Nevah Lowery scored nine for USV.

Boys basketball: Lima Senior outlasts Shawnee

Lima Senior and Shawnee both pushed the ball up and down the court all night, which produced a boys basketball game that was both entertaining and close all the way before Lima Senior pulled away in the final minute and a half for a 69-65 win on Saturday night at Senior High.
