Roundup: Parks ascends to top of St. Marys’ scoring list

Austin Parks ascended to the top spot on St. Marys’ career scoring list with 24 points during the Roughriders’ 71-37 victory against Coldwater. Parks’ career total is 1,297, one point ahead of Derek Jay.

ONU ranked No. 18

ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s basketball team is ranked No. 18 in the Week 8 D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

The Polar Bears (15-2 overall, 9-1 OAC) received 196 points in the poll and fell four spots from last week’s poll in which they received 303 points and were ranked No. 14.

Northern is coming off Saturday’s 68-61 loss at Marietta that ended a 12-game win streak.

Northern is also ranked in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

The Polar Bears received 52 points and are tied with Elizabethtown (Pa.) at No. 20 in the poll.

Northern received 92 points and was ranked No. 15 in last week’s poll.
