Bus for Kentucky donations accepted Dec. 26

LIMA — A “Love Thy Neighbor” Bus for Kentucky is accepting donations from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at Westgate Lanes, 721 N. Cable Road, before leaving to help those affected by Kentucky’s deadly tornadoes.

Westgate bus driver Kathy Thompson said the company offered her the parking lot space to host the endeavor. She has relatives in Kentucky, but they weren’t directly impacted by the Dec. 10-11 twisters.

Acceptable items for the charity bus include water, nonperishable foods, toiletries, blankets, clothes, clean used toys and pet food. Monetary donations will be accepted for necessities such as fuel for the vehicle.

For more info or to send money, contact Thompson via [email protected].
