1. Wapakoneta Waterpark

Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday, Noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, adult swim 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays and Thursdays, family swim 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday

Highlights: This two-pool destination features one large pool with diving board, a large twist slide and a shallow pool area with play equipment for the little ones. Kids aren’t allowed from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Thursday to let adults swim. Admission is for adults is $6. Entrance is $5 for youth ages 3 to 17, and $2 for kids up to age 2.

2. Westside Swim & Racquet Club, Lima

Location: 235 N. Eastown Road, Lima

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Sunday

Highlights: Westside Swim and Racquet Club is a private pool that offers many amenities, including a championship swim team. Memberships are available by stopping by the club on Eastown Road, or by calling.

3. Delphos Municipal Pool

Location: 1000 Park Ave., Delphos

Hours: Noon to 8 p.m. daily

Highlights: This community pool features a winding slide, two diving boards, a 10-feet-deep area for swimming and another area only 1-to-2-feet deep for nonswimmers. Season passes are available (discounts are available, but full price is $80 for singles, $190 for families and $70 for ages 55 and older). Daily admission is $5, with children ages 2 and younger free. Evening swim, after 6 p.m., is $2. The pool has locker rooms, a concession stand and swimming lessons available.

3. Ottawa Metro Park

Location: 2632, Ada Road, Lima (Lima Lake reservoir)

Phone: 419-221-1232

Hours: Noon to 7 p.m. daily

Highlights: The swimming beach is 450 feet in length. It features wheelchair access, a “Raindrop” water fountain, the “Free Fall Extreme” 10-foot water slide, a surf slide, mermaid fountain, vending machines, changing area and restrooms. It also has a covered picnic area, and Family Fun Days are scheduled throughout the summer months. The beach is protected by certified lifeguards. Allen County residents pay the following fees: Seniors age 60 and older pay $4, ages 13 and older pay $5, ages 3-12 pay $3 and ages 2 and younger are free.
