LIMA — “More Than A Car! More Than A Truck!” The print advertising of Ford’s 1957 Ranchero played up the fact that this car served a dual purpose. The Ford Ranchero was a coupe utility vehicle produced between 1957 and 1979. It was adapted from a two-door station wagon platform that then integrated the cab and cargo bed into the body. A total of 508,355 units were produced during the model’s production run. The Ford Ranchero sold well enough to gain a competitor from General Motors in 1959, the Chevrolet El Camino.

Earl Bodine, of Lima, brought his 1957 Ford Ranchero to the Westgate Charity Car Show. He has owned it just one year, trading a 1996 Chevy Corvette for it.
