Carson Gilchriest went 4 for 4 at the plate with two doubles and the first-ever home run at Revolution Field for the Musketeers. Eli Lucke pitched four scoreless innings to get the win.

For Elida, Seth Sharp went 3 for 4 with an RBI, while Zach Suever was charged with the loss after allowing four earned runs in five innings.

Carter Dominique and Noah Huard combined to throw a shutout on the mound for the Golden Bears.

Van Wert 9, Spencerville 1

Van Wert went up 7-0 in the first inning and held on for an eight-run victory.

Sam Houg picked up the win for the Cougars. Houg, Kaden Shaffer, and Hayden Davis each recorded two hits for Van Wert.

Spencerville got two hits each from Carson Daniels and Levi Becker.

Everett Palte picked up the win in three innings, after holding Arlington to one run. Devin Barnt recorded a two-inning save.

Brady Basinger went 3 for 3 on the night, including a two-run homer. Evan Sautter added a double and a triple for the Bulldogs.

Wayne Trace got five RBI and three runs scored from Cale Winans. Breven Anderson also drove in three runs.

Conner Davis picked up the win on the hill, allowing just one hit and one run in four innings while recording 10 strikeouts.

Greyson Harder pitched six no-hit innings and recorded 14 strikeouts for Paulding in its season-opening win.
