LIMA — Ohio State Beauty Academy presented its spring student talent showcase Thursday night, using the theme “Fairy Hair and Pixie Dust: Where Magic Mets Style.”
Forty student stylists combined hairstyles with creative makeup applications, nail art and costume designs. They spent the last several weeks preparing for the showcase.
Students were judged on creativity and uniqueness; degree of difficulty and technical skill; and presentation/neatness. They competed in six categories, including hair styling, makeup application, nail art, costume design, peer evaluation, viewer’s choice and presidential award, with first- through fifth-place winners.
