Voters approve renewal issues across area

LIMA — Voters across the area approved renewal levies at their schools, according to unofficial results from Tuesday’s election.

Delphos voters approved both a 2.25-mill renewal levy for permanent improvements and a 5.5-mill levy for current expenses. For the permanent improvement levy, 64.6% of voters supported it, while 63.7% of voters supported the current expenses measure.

Bluffton voters sounded an overwhelming “yes” for their school’s renewal request for 3.541 mills for operating expenses, with 75.1% of voters in favor of it.

Perry schools’ voters also approved a 3.135 mill renewal levy for current expenses. In its case, 59.2% of voters were in favor of the renewal.

Voters in Pusheta Township, in Auglaize County, narrowly approved a fire levy Tuesday, by just eight votes. The 4.25-mill, five-year additional levy was supported by 132 voters, compared to 124 against.

People in Lima’s 7B precinct approved a Sunday wine and mixed beverages liquor license for Double Time Woods LLC, known as Sunny’s Quick Stop & Deli at 1434 Allentown Road, Lima. For that issue, 58.1% of voters approved it.
