More than $1,000 raised at ONU Polar Plunge

ADA — Students at Ohio Northern University braved the cold for a good cause Saturday during the university’s annual Polar Plunge.

Sponsored by the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, the event featured participants taking fundraising pledges to either jump into Neiheiser Lake themselves or make one of their fraternity brothers take the namesake plunge.

“The plunge went fantastic,” student organizer Nate Holcomb said in a statement. “We will be donating $1,242 back to the Face It Foundation, which I am very happy with.”

The Face It Foundation is an organization that supports mental health initiatives for men.
