Roundup: Freiberger breaks Shawnee scoring record

Shawnee 61, Lima Senior 57

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Grace Freiberger’s historic night led Shawnee to a four-point victory over Lima Senior.

Freiberger set a new career high with 37 points and broke the school’s all-time scoring record of 1,467 career points. She also just narrowly missed a triple-double with nine rebounds and nine steals.

The Indians also got 13 points and four steals from Kamryn Morris.

Shawnee improved to 7-7, while Lima Senior dropped to 10-9.

Columbus Grove 67, Fort Jennings 36

FORT JENNINGS — Columbus Grove (12-4) picked up a Putnam County League win over Fort Jennings (3-14) behind a 26-point outing from Lauryn Auchmuty.

Auchmuty hit six 3’s, grabbed seven boards, and had six steals on the evening.

Maggie Pothast contributed exactly half of her team’s points with 18.

Allen East 62, Celina 35

HARROD — Allen East outscored Celina 20-3 in the first quarter and cruised to a 27-point victory over Celina.

Savana Brooks had 22 points to lead the Mustangs (12-2).

Celina drops to 6-10 on the year.

Ada 56, Ridgemont 36

ADA — Olivia Burkhart paced Ada with 19 points in a non-league win over Ridgemont.

Anna Conley added 15 points and five blocks for the Bulldogs (6-10).

Ridgemont (1-13) looked to Anna Ramsey for 16 points.

Botkins 65, Waynesfield-Goshen 52

WAYNESFIELD — Camdyn Paul led Botkins with 21 points, while Delana Pitts added 18 points.

Waynesfield Goshen got 25 points from Raegan Hutchison and 15 from Tatelyn Faraglia in the loss.
