Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Dec. 18

Adam Koebel, 40, Ottawa, was found in violation of community control standards. The violations included failing to obtain and maintain employment and failing to comply with the orders and directives of the Putnam County Child Support Enforcement Agency. He was placed on an OR bond and sentencing on the matter was scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 22, 2024. He was originally convicted of non support.

Raven D. Krontz, 43, Defiance, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs. She faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was modified to OR while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 3:30 p.m. Jan. 29, 2024. Any illegal drugs seized in the within action will be forfeited to the arresting agency.

Randall J. Otto, Ottawa, and Debora S. Otto, Continental, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Nov. 24, 2018 in Ottawa, and have no children.

Dec. 19

Paige Conder, 25, Lima, pleaded guilty to theft. She faces up to 12 months in prison and $2,500 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 3 p.m. Jan. 29, 2024.

Dec. 20

Chad C. Niese was sworn in to another term as judge of the Putnam County Municipal Court to a term beginning Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2029.

Dec. 21

Kayla A. Price, 33, Napoleon, pleaded guilty to identity fraud, attempted possession of cocaine (amended) and failure to appear. She faces a total of 36 months in prison and $8,500 in fines. A charge of aggravated possession of drugs was dismissed upon testifying truthfully against the codefendents in the case. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 3:30 p.m. Feb. 1, 2024.

Credit Acceptance Corp., Southfield, Mich., was granted judgment against Ernest Kaylor, Columbus Grove, and Angela Kaylor, Columbus Grove, in the amount of $19,519.32, plus interest from Feb. 25, 2023 and costs.

Partners First Federal Credit Union, Fort Wayne, Ind., was granted a foreclosure judgment against Dan V. Burgei, Ottawa, in the amount of $71,803.64, plus interest and costs.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Dec. 14

Miranda Briggs, 21, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP.

Dec. 15

Jason C. Hertenstein, 46, Wapakoneta, pleaded no contest to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension, with credit for three days jail upon completion of DIP. He was ordered to pay court costs for driving under suspension and left of center.

Dec. 18

Nicholas A. Hazelton, 37, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to violating protection order. Sentence: 180 days jail, $100 fine, with credit given for eight days served. He also pleaded guilty to another count of violating a protection order. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $100 fine and complete a mental health assessment. Three other counts of violating a protection order were dismissed.

Ashleigh M. Doster, 39, Continental, falsification, interference with children

Steven E. Niese, 40, Bluffton, pleaded no contest to an amended charge of criminal mischief and was found guilty. Sentence: 60 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, and pay restitution of $79.99 and no contact with victim for one year.

Madison N. Heller, 24, Lima, pleaded guilty to no operator’s license. Sentence: 180 days jail, 174 days suspended, $100 fine. A charge of no transfer/plates was dismissed.

Dec. 19

Kolton K. Benson, 25, Pandora, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $250 fine, and complete a mental health assessment.
