KALIDA — Columbus Grove turned to its defense, allowing no points in the third quarter and just two points in the first quarter, on its way to a convincing win in a Putnam County League matchup.

Abby Stechschulte led the Bulldogs (6-1, 2-0 PCL) with nine points.

Meredith Bockrath paced Kalida (4-3, 1-1 PCL) with five points.

WAYNESFIELD — Wapakoneta jumped out to a 21-8 first-quarter edge and held off Waynesfield-Goshen from there.

Audrey Welsch led the Redskins (3-4) with 21 points, including nine points in that first quarter. Elisabeth Good added 15 points, while Kortney Fullenkamp tallied 10.

Raegan Hutchison has 21 points for the Tigers (2-4), while Tatelyn Faraglia added 17 points and Makenna Shaw had 12.
