Lima launches Snowbusters program

LIMA — A new program through the city will focus on helping community members during the winter months. The “Snowbusters” program is looking for volunteers and those in need to register online. Once the snow comes, elder adults and community members can register to have snow removed from their driveway. The city is also looking for volunteers to shovel the snow.

“Every year, I simply get a lot of phone calls about this,” Neighborhood Specialist Sydni Winkler said. “Anyone who is elderly or a disabled resident in the city of Lima can fill out a form that says they are looking for help. For volunteers over 18, we have another form that we ask you to fill out asking how many houses you would like to go through, then I will match you up and get you in contact with those houses.”
