Putnam County Common Pleas Court

The following individuals were indicted by the Putnam County Grand Jury on Wednesday:

Dustin W. Shuherk, 35, Leipsic; assault.

Andre M. Woods, 28, Ottawa; aggravated possession of drugs.

Elijah J. Hovest, 33, Pandora; weapons under disability, three counts improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, two counts operating a vehicle under the influence.

Jason L. Burleson, 40, Ottawa; two counts felonious assault.

Kevin M. Arnone, 38, Ottawa; aggravated possession of drugs.

Dion Duran, 35, Ottawa; illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified governmental facility and aggravated possession of drugs.

Christopher R. Landwehr, 50, Cloverdale; disrupting public services, tampering with evidence, domestic violence and aggravated menacing.

Rachel R. Newsome, 39, Ottawa; breaking and entering, aggravated possession of drugs and theft.

Oct. 19

Jennifer J. Gillette, 32, Ottawa, was sentenced to 30 days jail for violating community control standards. The violations included using methamphetamines on one or more occasions since June 15. She was placed on five years community control and given credit for 24 days previously served. She must successfully complete all counseling and treatment. She was originally convicted of aggravated possession of drugs.

Oct. 20

Alisia R. Garza, 34, Ashtabula, admitted to violating community control. The violations included failing to report weekly to her supervising officer since July 4 and changing her address July 5 without the permission of her supervising officer. Sentencing on the matter was set for Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. She was originally convicted of assault and two counts aggravated menacing.

Oct. 23

The Putnam County Health Department, Ottawa, was granted a summary judgment against David A. Freund, Fort Jennings regarding a property located at 16413 State Route 190, Fort Jennings. The court ruled Freund has not complied with the necessary requirement regarding specific requirements under the Ohio Revised Code pertaining to the permitting and operation of the sewage treatment systems. The local health department has established a basis for part of their motion for summary judgment and has provided uncontroverted affidavits and undisputed facts. Freund did not argue contrary facts. The health department’s motion was granted with court cost assigned to Freund.

Dereck R. Butcher, 41, Bluffton, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for attempted felonious assault. He was placed on five years community control and must pay restitution of $2,842.11. He was ordered to complete all counseling and treatment recommended.

Dolores M. Johnson, Cloverdale, and Eric Johnson, Cloverdale, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Aug. 20. 2005 in Ottoville and have no children.

Oct. 27

Josalyna Oliver, 40, Leipsic, was granted eight days credit for work completed at the Putnam County Adult Detention Facility. Oliver, convicted of receiving stolen property, is scheduled to be released Nov. 10.

Helen G. Morman, Ottawa, was granted a divorce from Charles A. Morman, Ottawa. They were married July 21, 2001 in Ottawa and have no children.

Scott J. Osting, Ottawa, and Roberta L. Osting, Traverse City, Mich.; dissolution of marriage without children.

Darrin E. Ward, Lima, v. Deanna M. Ward, Ottawa; divorce without children.

Brooke Beach, Leipsic, v. Cody Beach, Urbana; divorce without children.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Oct. 19

Dion Duran, 35, Ottawa, charged with illegal conveyance/weapon, a felony, bound over to common pleas court.

Corey D. Dennis, 40, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, two-year license suspension, and restitution of $264.60 and complete a drug and alcohol assessment. Charges of driving under OVI suspension and marked lanes were dismissed.

Michael A. Lee, 30, Ottawa, was fined $150 for no operator’s license and $50 for failure to control.

Oct. 23

Chelsey L. Frazier-Bell, 35, Kenton, pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a vehicle. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, and complete a drug and alcohol assessment.

Randy A. Steele, 55, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, and $250 fine.

Oct. 24

Juan Mendez Hernandez, 28, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid license. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, and fined $200.

Jesus M. Juarez, 26, Leipsic, pleaded no contest to driving without a valid license. Sentence: 180 days jail, 160 days suspended, and fined $200.

Oct. 19

Oct. 20
