Council supports Lima City Schools levy

LIMA — Lima City Council focused its attention Monday evening on a way it could support Lima City Schools. The council adopted a resolution in support of the Lima City Schools 7.68 Mill Renewal Levy.

“We talk a lot about the viability of our town,” said Fourth Ward Council Member Peggy Ehora. “We talk a lot about the great things happening in our neighborhoods and communities. The core of all of it is the health of our Lima City Schools. This community has supported our levies that suppprt the school district for years; you cannot get where you want to go if the education system is not there.

Council also adopted a resolution petitioning an assessment for a special energy improvement project. According to the resolution, Booker Real Estate Holding LLC submitted the petition. The resolution also states the assessment is to implement and improve energy efficiency.
