Rick Robinson to headline Curtain Call this Thursday

LIMA — Rick Robinson will hit the Happy Daz Patio at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center for the latest edition of Curtain Calls.

Robinson will bring his brand of rock and folk music to the free concert set for 5 p.m. this Thursday.

“We have been doing this for several seasons and we’re excited to have Rick back again,” Founder of sponsor Rustgaze Records Kayla Nocera said. “Every show, we have a featured cocktail and a musician from the region and we’re excited to continue this partnership with the Civic Center and the restaurants.”

Curtain Calls have been running every Thursday since June 1 and for years now, but Nocera said that it does not get old putting every show together.

“We’re excited that every year we’re continuing to see some of the familiar faces, but also new people who find out where the event is and then get the word out,” she said. “And you can get to the patio either by going through the Wingate Hotel or the Civic Center.”

And there will be plenty more opportunities left throughout the summer to catch artists like Robinson throughout the summer and beyond.

“Keep your eyes out for different opportunities to see local musicians,” Nocera said. “Every year, we have different ones, but we love supporting all artists from the region. If people trust us to come out to one Curtain Call, they’ll come back every time.”

It is all leading up to several big events to finish the season, starting with a show at the Amphitheater and then the Legacy Arts Street Party Sept. 16.

“And then, we’re also going to extend the season a little bit,” Nocera said. “On Oct. 5, we’re going to have an additional curtain call for the fall season and then we’re going to do a holiday show on Dec. 6.”
