VAN WERT — A Lima man was in critical condition at a hospital Sunday after swerving off a road and overcorrecting his vehicle, overturning the vehicle and ejecting him Sunday morning, according to the Van Wert post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Angelo Agnew-Heyliger Fox Jr., 26, of Lima, drove a Buick Lacrosse west on state Route 81 near Greenville Road in Van Wert County’s Liberty Township at approximately 3 a.m. Monday. The patrol reported the vehicle went off the left side of the vehicle, and Fox overcorrected, causing the vehicle to go off the right side of the road. The Lacrosse overturned, with Fox ejected from the vehicle.
The seat belt was not in use when the crash occurred, according to the highway patrol. The crash remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio City Fire & EMS, Van Wert EMS and Hagues Towing.
