This week’s updates on the coronavirus pandemic

• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention elevated its COVID-19 risk advisory for Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties from low to medium Thursday.

The latest CDC data show an estimated 13 new hospital admissions per 100,000 people in Allen County in a seven-day period, while 2.4% of staffed inpatient beds occupied by patients with COVID illness.

• There were no additional deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in five-county region in the last seven days, according to the Ohio Department of Health.
