In a release from ODOT, Director Jack Marchbanks said that the credit for the projects will go to the Ohioans who the roads will serve in the first place.

“These investments are made possible by hard-working Ohioans who use these roads and bridges every day to get to work, school, medical appointments and family vacations. It is our duty to ensure the resources entrusted to us are used wisely,” he said.

According to the department, it will invest a record $2.5 bil. into the more than 1000 projects that will take place during this year’s construction season.
