Lima man dies in motorcycle accident

LIMA — A Lima man died Saturday night after his motorcycle collided with a sports utility vehicle.

Donovan Earl, 23, of Lima, was declared dead at the scene when the Lima Police Department responded at 6:28 p.m. Saturday to the 1100 block of South Metcalf Street.

Earl had been operating a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on South Metcalf when he collided with a 2010 Chevrolet SUV that was traveling northbound. Earl wasn’t wearing a helmet, and speed is believed to be a factor in the accident.
