• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday raised its community risk outlook for Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam and Van Wert counties from low to medium, during which those at risk for severe COVID illness are encouraged to wear a mask in crowded, indoor places.
The latest CDC data show an estimated 11 new hospital admissions per 100,000 people in Allen County in a seven-day period, while the percentage of staffed inpatient beds occupied by patients with COVID illness increased slightly from 1.8% to 2.2%.
• There was one additional death in Allen County attributed to COVID-19 reported to the Ohio Department of Health last seven days.
• Allen County Public Health will continue its influenza and COVID-19 vaccination clinics from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays and Fridays at the health department, 219 E. Market St., Lima, through February. The clinic will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20.
