Lima Godfather’s Pizza closes

LIMA — Another local eatery has closed. According to its Facebook page, Godfather’s Pizza, 2525 Elida Road, has closed its doors after serving Lima for 42 years.

Godfather’s Facebook page reads, “It has been a pleasure serving the Lima community since 1981. We have closed our doors after 42 years.”

Godfather’s thanked the Lima community for its support. “Should you ever be in the area or just gotta get a Classic Combo – we have 3 locations in the Greater Dayton Ohio area: 1) Huber Heights at 4628 Brandt Pk, Cloud Park Plaza 937-233-9900, 2) Centerville at 5800 Wilmington Pk, 937-433-7777 and 3) Miamisburg at 291 N Springboro Pk, 937-291-1999. Facebook pages: Godfathers Pizza Dayton, Godfather’s Pizza Centerville and Godfather’s Pizza Miamisburg.”

In 1990, Godfather’s Pizza was reported to be the fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States at the time, down from third place in 1985.
