Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Aug. 1

Kyle R. Leatherman, 22, Van Wert, was remanded to the WORTH Center for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included using methamphetamines. He was placed on five years community control. He was originally convicted of aggravated possession of drugs.

Aug. 2

Putnam County Treasurer Tracy Warnecke, Ottawa, was granted judgment against Elias Hernadez (deceased), Belmore, in the amount of $1,195.52 as of Feb. 15 due to delinquent taxes and assessments.

Aug. 4

Joshua P. Cutlip, 38, Leipsic, was found in violation of community control. The violations included submitting a false urine sample and using methamphetamines. He also pleaded guilty to attempted tampering with evidence. He faces up to 18 months in prison and up to $5,000 in fines. Bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

Douglas C. Calvelage, Cloverdale, and Lacy Calvelage, Leipsic, was granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Nov. 27, 2017 in Ottawa and have one child.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Aug. 2

Somer Bullinger, 41, Dupont, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of assault. Sentence: 180 days jail, 179 days suspended, with the TPO vacated.

Esmael Hernandez, 66, Leipsic, pleaded no contest to domestic violence and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, with the TPO vacated and complete a mental health assessment. A charge of assault was dismissed.

Aug. 4

Garrett M. Howell, 33, Pandora, pleaded guilty to child endangering. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, $150 fine, must not have any guns for two years and complete a gun safety course.

Amber D. Hinds, 40, Vaughnsville, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of unauthorized use of property. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $50 fine and no posting pictures of dog on social media.

Victor R. Magallanes, 33, Leipsic, pleaded guilty to two counts of no operator’s license. Sentence; 180 days jail on both counts, 122 days suspended, $150 fine both counts.

Anthony B. Huffman, 27, Wapakoneta, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted aggravated menacing. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine.

Jeffrey S. Frye, 43, Lima, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of no operator’s license. Sentence: $100 fine. A charge of speeding was dismissed.

Hakiem R. Hunt, 39, Toledo, pleaded no contest to driving under suspension license forfeiture and was found guilty. Sentence: Two points, $500 fine.
