VAN WERT — Cameron Elwer and Delphos St. John’s got off to a hot 27-9 start and never cooled down.

Elwer scored eight of his team’s first-quarter points on his way to a 32-point night. Tyce McClain added 14 points, while Austin Moenter scored 10 for the Blue Jays.

Van Wert looked to Keaten Welch for 23 points.

Bluffton 57, Kenton 50

KENTON — Bluffton withstood Kenton’s fourth-quarter comeback attempt to win on the road.

The Pirates looked to Blake Sommers for 14 points and Marek Donaldson for 13. Terron Boblitt added 11.

Gavin Payne led Kenton with 17 points.

Fort Jennings 73, Ada 56

ADA — Fort Jennings used a 22-14 fourth-quarter scoring spurt to keep Ada’s comeback hopes at bay.

Fort Jennings (1-1) got 19-point performances from both Calvin Menke and Jarron Swick.

Kayleb Hickman led Ada (0-2) with 14 points, while Zach Zimmerman and Kolton Dysert each scored 12. Carson Conley added 10.

Ottoville 60, Perry 28

OTTOVILLE — Ottoville outscored Perry 24-2 in a pivotal second quarter and cruised from there.

Eleven different players scored for the Big Green (1-1), led by Jace Langhals’ 11 points, with nine in that second quarter.

Marcus Hill and Jason Thomas led Perry (0-2) with eight points apiece.

Crestview 57, Miller City 46

CONVOY — Wayne Sheets scored 31 points to lead Crestview (2-0) at home.

Miller City looked to Jude Otto for a team-high 11 points for the Wildcats (0-1).

Pandora-Gilboa 68, Ayersville 39

AYERSVILLE — Pandora-Gilboa jumped out to a 24-4 lead in the first quarter and cruised from there to improve its record to 2-0.

Wapakoneta 57, Liberty-Benton 34

FINDLAY — Cash Schadl had 19 points and Zac Niekamp added 17 points to lead Wapakoneta on the road.

The Redskins are now 2-0. Liberty-Benton fell to 1-1.

HAVILAND — Wayne Trace (2-1) bounced back from a slow start with a 19-11 run in the second quarter and a 14-3 sprint in the fourth quarter to win at home.

Lexi Moore had 20 points for Wayne Trace, while Harper Myers added 12.

Faith Clem led the Blue Jays (0-3) with nine points.

Columbus Grove 56, Shawnee 35

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Lauryn Auchmuty scored 18 points and Nicole Nesby added 16 as Columbus Grove (2-0) won at Shawnee.

Grace Freiberger led Shawnee (0-2) with 20 points and four rebounds.
