DAYTON — St. Henry dropped a 25-22, 25-14, 25-20 Division III state semifinal Thursday to Mentor Lake Catholic at Wright State University’s Nutter Center.
Chloe Gells had 11 kills, Lydia Werling had 22 assists, Rya Buschur had nine digs and Morgan Baumer had eight digs for St. Henry (24-4). Lake Catholic improved to 28-0 and will face Cincinnati Archbishop McNicholas (21-7), a 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 winner against Byesville Meadowbrook, for the state championship at 11 a.m. Saturday at the same venue.

WESTERVILLE — Fourth-seeded Ohio Northern volleyball team saw its Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament run come to an end in the semifinals with a 27-25, 25-22, 25-19 loss at top-seeded Otterbein on Thursday evening at the Rike Center.
Erin Wagner had nine kills and five blocks, Sonia Dahlin had seven kills, Lauren James had five blocks, Rachel Jennings had a team-high 20 digs and Grace Conrad had 20 assists for ONU.
