Roundup: Marion Local tops Coldwater to win MAC football championship

MARIA STEIN — Justin Knouff completed 11 of 13 pass attempts for 237 yards and four touchdowns as Marion Local clinched the Midwest Athletic Conference at 10-0 overall and 8-0 in the MAC.

Victor Hoelscher, who had six catches for 151 yards, Ethan Heitkamp, who had a TD run, Andrew Pohlman and Kyle Otte each had a touchdown reception.

Baylen Blockberger completed 24 of 28 pass attempts for 278 yards and a TD throw to AJ Harlamert, who had eight receptions for 108 yards, and Jack Ebbing had a TD run for Coldwater (9-1, 7-1 MAC).

Waynesfield-Goshen 41, Ridgemont 12

MT. VICTORY — W-G finished the regular season 10-0 and won the Northwest Central Conference outright at 9-0. Ridgemont completed the regular season 4-6 and 4-5 in the conference.

Upper Scioto Valley 52, North Baltimore 20

NORTH BALTIMORE — Alex Sanders had 15 carries for 183 yards and three touchdowns, Maddox Underwood had seven carries for 149 yards and a pair of TDs and Ryan Roberts had eight rushes for 100 yards and a touchdown for USV (8-2, 8-1 NWCC). North Baltimore goes to 3-7 overall and 2-7 in the conference.

St. Marys 31, Bath 0

ST. MARYS — Colton Mabry had 23 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown, Dominik Osborne had 23 carries for 128 yards, Cody Wallace had two touchdowns, Caleb Schmidt had a TD carry and Logan Rush connected on a 24-yard field goal and four extra points as the Roughriders improved to 6-4 overall and 6-3 in the Western Buckeye League. Bath closed the regular season at 4-6 and 3-6 in the league.

Van Wert 35, Elida 14

ELIDA — Brylen Parker had 25 carries for 98 yards and three touchdowns and had a TD throw to Keldyn Bill. Conner Campbell had a TD run and Reese Krugh made four receptions for 95 yards also for the Cougars (7-3, 6-3 WBL).

Isaac Earl had a touchdown pass to Amari Wash and David Etzkorn had 20 carries for 96 yards and a TD run for Elida (5-5, 4-5 WBL).

Delphos Jefferson 31, Spencerville 28

SPENCERVILLE — Jefferson’s Dean Trentman had 33 carries for 286 yards and four touchdowns and Karder Agner returned an interception for another Wildcat score.

Spencerville’s Grady Smith completed 17 of 41 pass attempts for 358 yards with two TD throws to Nate Coulter, who had seven receptions for 204 yards, and another to Dylan Short. Coulter also had a touchdown run.

Jefferson moved to 1-9 overall and 0-7 in the Northwest Conference while Spencerville sits at 3-7 on the season and closed conference play at 2-5.

Leipsic 49, Crestview 28

CONVOY — Leipsic closed the regular season at 8-2 overall and 5-2 in the NWC while Crestview is a 6-4 on the season and 4-3 in the conference.

Pandora-Gilboa 48, Elmwood 6

PANDORA — Cory Gerten completed 11 of 16 pass attempts for 249 yards with TD passes to Aidan Morris, Andrew Miller, Chase Meyer and Isaac Stall as P-G stands at 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the Blanchard Valley Conference. Morris and Miller also had TD runs and teammate Carson Meyer returned an interception for another score. Elmwood fell to 3-7 on the season and 2-4 in the conference.

Allen East 49, Ada 7

ADA — Jack Hoel had 14 carries for 125 yards and three touchdowns, Jackson Thompson had 10 rushes for 151 yards and a TD, Carson Clum returned an interception for a score and Trey Hensley caught a TD pass from Thompson and returned a kickoff 87 yards for a score as Allen East closed the regular season at 4-6 (3-4 NWC). Kaine Fisher had 13 carries for 83 yards and scored Ada’s touchdown. The Bulldogs ended up 3-7 on the season and 1-6 in the conference.

New Bremen 14, Delphos St. John’s 7

NEW BREMEN — The Cardinals improved to 4-6 on the season and 3-5 in the MAC. DSJ closed its season at 4-6 and 3-5 in the conference.

Defiance 14, Ottawa-Glandorf 10

OTTAWA — Peyton Kuhlman had a touchdown pass to Grant Schroeder, who had eight catches for 100 yards, for O-G, which closed the season at 1-9 and 1-8 in the WBL while the Bulldogs completed the regular season at 7-3 and 6-3 in the league.

Ridgedale 19, Perry 16

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Isaiah McFadden had a TD run, Kimari Glenn returned an interception for a score and Conner Lynch connected on a 21-yard field goal for Perry (3-7, 3-6 NWCC). Ridgedale stands at 6-4 on the season and 4-5 in the conference.

Kenton 28, Shawnee 14

KENTON — The Wildcats moved to 3-7 overall and 3-6 in the WBL while the Indians finished their season at 0-10 and 0-9 in the league.

Versailles 21, Minster 14

VERSAILLES — James Niemeyer had a pair of touchdown passes to Kole Richard for Minster (8-2, 6-2 MAC). Versailles stands at 8-2 on the season and finished its MAC schedule 6-2.

St. Henry 28, Fort Recovery 27 (OT)

FORT RECOVERY — Charlie Werling had 34 carries for 174 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Logan Dehan had two TDs for St. Henry (3-7, 2-6 MAC). Reece Wendel had 15 carries for 111 yards, Troy Homan had three TD runs and Reece Guggenbiller had a touchdown for Fort Recovery (1-9, 1-7 MAC).

Anna 40, Parkway 6

ROCKFORD — Devon Crouch had Parkway’s touchdown on a 4-yard run. The Rockets improved to 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the MAC while the Panthers finished the record season 2-8 and 1-7 in the MAC.
