COLUMBUS — Bluffton is in first place in Division VI, Region 22, heading into the final week of the high school football regular season. Columbus Grove, which plays host Friday night to Bluffton with the winner claiming the Northwest Conference championship, is fourth.
Marion Local is second in D-VII, Region 28, with Minster fourth, St. Henry 14th and New Bremen 15th.
Marion Local will be home against Coldwater, No. 5 in Division V, Region 18, Friday night with the winner claiming the Midwest Athletic Conference championship. Spencerville is 13th in Coldwater’s region.
Celina is second, Wapakoneta is sixth and Elida is 13th in D-III, Region 12, Celina, already guaranteed a piece of the Western Buckeye League crown, travels Friday night to Wapak with the hosts hoping to gain a share of the title.
Waynesfield-Goshen, Pandora-Gilboa and Lima Central Catholic are sixth through eighth respectively, Upper Scioto Valley is 10th, Leipsic is 12th and Crestview is 15th in D-VII, Region 26.
Lima Senior, which will play for the Toledo City League title at home Friday night against Start at Spartan Stadium, is eighth in D-II, Region 8.
Van Wert is sixth, St. Marys is 11th and Bath is 15th in D-IV, Region 14, and Allen East and Parkway are 10th and 12th respectively in D-VI, Region 24.
The top 16 schools from each region in the final report Sunday will qualify for the playoffs.
