Volleyball: Shawnee finishes 9-0 in WBL matches

Shawnee closed out its Western Buckeye League schedule with a 25-5, 25-13, 25-15 victory Tuesday night against Kenton to finish 9-0 in league matches.

Kelly Cooper had 15 kills, Karleigh Hutchins had 10 kills, Addie Maxwell had 46 assists and Grace Freiberger contributed 33 digs for Shawnee (19-1).

Brynn Bulter had 14 digs, Morgan Lyons had five assists. Mya Good had five kills and 12 digs and Macee Heckathorn had four kills for Kenton.

Perry 3, Vanlue 0

The Commodores won 25-15, 25-22, 25-13 to go to 8-0 in the Northwest Central Conference and 17-3 overall. Mary Hoersten had three aces and 15 kills. Lexenna Lee had 12 assists and Alauna Muniz had five kills for Perry. The Commodores travel to Ridgedale, also 8-0 in the NWCC, on Thursday.

Wapakoneta 3, Celina 2

The Redskins won 25-23, 25-17, 15-25, 17-25, 15-12.

Allison Schwieterman had 44 digs, Ava Knapke had 23 kills and four blocks, Mylee Sapp had 23 kills and Haley Kizer had 54 assists for Celina.

Allen East 3, Spencerville 0

The Mustangs won 25-6, 25-16, 25-12. Soraya Jackson had eight kills, Taylor Nickles had four kills and Aniya Prowant had six aces and five digs for Allen East.

St. Marys 3, Bath 0

The Roughriders won 25-10, 25-14, 25-13.

Brynn Clark had 18 kills, Syerra Greber had five kills, Sylvia Wiechart had five kills, Lily Rammel had 18 assists and four aces, Ashlie Nuss had 10 digs, Audra Clark had four digs, Brynn Clark had four digs and Elle Craft had three aces for St. Marys.

The Pirates won 25-14, 25-21, 25-15.

The Bulldogs won 25-17 25-20 26-24.

Addysen Sneary had 13 kill and 20 assists, Abby Kristoff had eight kills and Brianna Smith had five kills and three blocks for Elida.

The Indians won 25-21, 25-17, 25-15. Avery Albers had six kills, Lauren Wingler had 16 digs and Addi Albers had 16 assists for New Knoxville.

The Cardinals won 25-15, 25-19, 25-20. Lilly Barhorst had 12 kills, Alayna Prenger had 15 assists and Kayla Lamm had five digs for the Wildcats.

The Vikings won 25-9, 25-18, 25-16.
