ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold 3-D shoots the third Saturday of the month all year long, weather permitting. They are open to all archery equipment. Go to facebook.com/allencountyarchers for more information.

BASEBALL

Lima: A hitting league for those in high school and younger will be held at the University of Northwestern Ohio on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Nov. 27 until Dec. 22. The high school sessions will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for those in junior high and younger. BASKETBALL

Lima: YMCA Youth Skill Development for boys and girls in kindergarten to second grade will be available from Nov. 6 to Nov. 27 at the Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. Participants will be taught footwork, ball handling, passing and shooting during the 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. sessions. Cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. Lima: The Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. will be holding a youth Scoop Shoot for parents and children ages 3-5 to learn skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting in a low-key, no-pressure environment, which is followed by ice cream. Registration open until Oct. 27 online at limaymca.net or stop by the Family Y. Scoop will be held from 5:15 p.m.to 6 p.m. Nov. 3 to Dec 1. Cost is $12 for members and $28 for non-members. FOOTBALL

Lima: Learn about this season’s Lima Senior High School football team and get to know Coach Bill Lawrence at the weekly luncheons. The luncheons will begin at noon Fridays at The Spartan Inn, located inside Lima Senior. There will be menu items and a full salad bar offered. Each week Lawrence will talk about the previous week’s game and the upcoming matchup. He will also take questions from those attending. GOLF

Lima: ServiceMaster and K&M Contracting are playing host to an outing June 15 at Springbrook Golf Club beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the four-player scramble will benefit Hire Heroes USA to help support veterans who are looking for employment. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Cornhole leagues are forming. LEGOS

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. is offering a Lego League and Lego League Jr. The Lego League is for ages 9-14. Team meetings are from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 for Y members and $30 for non-members. The Lego League Jr. is open for ages 6-9. The 5 p.m. Fall II meetings have started. The program runs for an hour, develops youth critical thinking and imagination and features real world challenges to be solved by the youth guided by adult coaches. PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING

Lima: War Wrestling returns Oct. 7 with Presents Blood, Sweat & Tears event at Bradfield Community Center 550 S. Collett St. Those scheduled to appear include Tommy Irish, Gino DeCapo, Scotty Amos, Kronos, Jack Vaughn, Damian Chambers, Sam Beale, Orlando Christopher, Mitchell Taylor, Ryan Michaels, “Poison” Appollo Starr, Qassius Starr, Brandon Day, Jimmy Shane, Will The Thrill, Brandon Fields, Chris Hall, Zodiak, Matt Taylor and Jean Paul Le Miserible.

Tickets available at Groamy’s Cd’s and Tapes or at warwrestling.com. Tickets are $20 for reserved VIP and $5 in advance and $10 at the door for general admission. VIP doors open at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for general admission. Wrestling is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

RUNNING

Lima: Limaland’s Spring Fling 5K is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at Ottawa Metro Park. Entry is $10. Go to RunSignUp.com to register and for more information.

TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting. All trap sessions are open to the public. For additional information, go to limasabres.com.

VOLLEYBALL

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. will be holding a camp for girls in fifth through eighth grade from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 to 28. There will be skills training, competition and drills. Registration open until Oct. 30. Cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members, including a T-shirt.
