High school roundup: Minster, Ottoville, Delphos St. John’s advance to state in Division III boys golf

BOWLING GREEN — Minster, Ottoville and Delphos St. John’s finished first through third respectively to earn state berths during Thursday’s Division III boys golf district at par 72 Stone Ridge.

Louis Magoto (77), Bryce Prenger (78), Jack Meyer (80) and Tyler Stueve (87) combined for the Wildcats’ winning 322 total.

Keaton Schnipke (79), Evan Altenburger (82), Jace Langhals (83) and Michael Turnwald (89) posted scores for Ottoville’s 333 team finish.

Collin Feathers (76), Tyce McClain (80), Jackson Kill (89) and Ashton Milligan (93) combined to give DSJ a 338 finish, finishing in a tie with Wayne Trace, which also advanced.

Kalida’s Robert Nartker (71), Delphos Jefferson’s Isaac Gallmeier (74), Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt (75) and Marion Local’s Marcus Rethman (78) advanced individually. Wayne Trace’s Kyle Sutton was medalist with a 70.

Miller City (344) finished tied for fifth, St. Henry (375) was 13th and Pandora-Gilboa (389) was 18th.

Miller City’s Andrew Weis (80), St. Henry’s Josh Rindler (85) and Pandora-Gilboa’s Aiden Harris (86) had the low rounds for their respective schools. Lima Central Catholic’s Parker Judy (77) and Ridgemont’s Dawson Manns (106) competed individually.

Cody Birt had two goals, Braden Keller and Will Ross each had a goal and an assist, Will Menker and Connor Rust each had a tally and Doug Ruppert, Aiden Jeffries, Reese Triplett and Bradey Triplett each had an assist.

The Wildcats had first time goal scorers at the varsity level with Tyani Seitov and Cris Lopez each scoring twice. Chris Villa scored his first varsity goal and assisted on two others.
