Evan Altenburger (40), Blake Kortokrax (41) and Michael Turnwald (41) contributed to the winning total while teammates Aiden Hilvers and Keaton Schnpke each shot 44. Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt was medalist with a 35 and Brayden Hart led Fort Jennings with a 41.

Ali Vanmeter had seven aces, Mallory Gipson had 18 assists, Alaysha Smith had nine kills and Almira Soriano had seven digs for Lima Senior.

The Commodores won 25-6, 25-10, 25-13.

Lexenna Lee had 14 assists and eight aces. Mary Hoersten had 12 kills and 12 digs and Alauna Muniz had eight kills and three blocks as Perry improved to 10-2 overall and 6-0 in the Northwest Central Conference.

Aubrey Dudgeon had the match’s goal and teammate Audrey Violet made six saves. Lima Senior’s Allison Fronzaglia had 16 saves for Lima Senior.

Bluffton 3, Wooster 0

BLUFFTON — Bluffton bounced back from a 1-3 weekend with a sweep of Wooster. The Beavers improved to 5-10 on the season while the visitors fell to 6-5 overall.

Bluffton rolled out to a 22-13 lead in the opener and held on for a 25-21 victory when Chloei Barnett (Wapakoneta) put the hammer down on set point. The home team trailed 21-17 in set two when the Beavers started trading two points for one en route to a come-from behind 26-24 win that had the crowd on its feet! With the third set hanging in the balance, Abby Lawhorn went to service line for three straight acers before sophomore Paige Massie put it out of reach with seven consecutive serves.

Kelly Armentrout (Shawnee) had 11 kills and a .381 hitting percentage. Barnett followed with nine hammers, while Jenna Woods and Kasey Sager chimed in with seven kills and four blocks. Sager did not have an error on her 11 swings, blistering the Fighting Scots with a .636 hitting percentage.

Handing out 26 dimes was Mallory Fluharty. Emma Organ picked up a team-high 13 digs, while Lawhorn had a career-high six aces.
