ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold a 3-D shoot the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment. They are also holding 3-D shoots the third Saturday of the month all year long, weather permitting. They are open to all archery equipment. BASEBALL

Lima: A hitting league for those in high school and younger will be held at the University of Northwestern Ohio on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Nov. 27 until Dec. 22. The high school sessions will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for those in junior high and younger. EQUESTRIAN

Cridersville: The Equestrian Therapy Program has a few openings remaining for the fall session. The non-profit provides equine facilitated activities and therapies for the disabled in Lima and the surrounding 10 counties. Classes for therapeutic horseback riding, equine assisted psychotherapy, ground lessons for those that cannot ride, equine assisted learning and tutoring in math and reading and leadership and team building workshops are provided. FOOTBALL

Lima: Learn about this season’s Lima Senior High School football team and get to know Coach Bill Lawrence at the weekly luncheons. The luncheons will begin at noon Fridays at The Spartan Inn, located inside Lima Senior. There will be menu items and a full salad bar offered. Each week Lawrence will talk about the previous week’s game and the upcoming matchup. He will also take questions from those attending. GOLF

Lima: ServiceMaster and K&M Contracting are playing host to an outing June 15 at Springbrook Golf Club beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds from the four-player scramble will benefit Hire Heroes USA to help support veterans who are looking for employment. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Cornhole leagues are forming. LEGOS

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA at 345 S. Elizabeth St. is offering a Lego League and Lego League Jr.

The Lego League is for ages 9-14. Team meetings are from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Cost is $20 for Y members and $30 for non-members.

The Lego League Jr. is open for ages 6-9. The 5 p.m. Fall II meetings have started. The program runs for an hour, develops youth critical thinking and imagination and features real world challenges to be solved by the youth guided by adult coaches. The registration fee is $10 for Y members and $20 for non-members.

RUNNING

Delphos: The Canal Days 5K run/walk will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17. Race day registration is

available starting at 8 a.m. in front of WDOH radio or pre-register online at runsignup.com.

St. Marys: The Jean Sheaks Memorial 5K Run & Fun Walk will be held at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, during the Tailgate for Cancer in the St. Marys Eagles parking lot. Entry is $25. Go to RunSignUp.com to register and for more information.

Ada: The United Way Community Health Run will be held at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at ONU Dial-Roberson Stadium. Entry is $20 for 5K, $30 for 10K and $40 for half marathon. Go to RunSignUp.com to register and for more information.

SWIMMING

Lima: New members are being accepted for the Lima Family YMCA’s Barracudas team for those ages 5 to 18 with practices starting Sept. 18. For more information contact April Brodman at 419-223-6045, extension 218.

TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting. All trap sessions are open to the public. For additional information, go to limasabres.com.

YMCA CLASSES/ACTIVITIES

Lima: Registration is available for Lima Family YMCA classes, including gymnastics, cheerleading, karate, swimming, cardio fitness, chair exercise, strength and indoor cycling.
